Hypertension or High Blood Pressure
Hypertension or high blood pressure goes along with the narrowing of the diameter of blood vessels among diabetics. Common risks associate with hypertension include
- Stroke
- Congestive heart failure: Complication of persistent high blood pressure causing the enlargement of hearts and eventually its failure to work.
- Coronary artery disease: Caused by narrowing of blood vessels that supply the heart. When blood circulation to the heart gets compromised, one starts to develop angina (chest pain) and then heart attack.
