Diabetic Neuropathy

Diabetic neuropathy is the strangest and least understood of all diabetic complication.  It affects nerve function and cause symptoms like tingling, pins sensations, burning, itching, numbness and sometimes severe pain.

Diabetic neuropathy often affects legs and cause a complete lack of sensation.  Some have commented that they feel their feet don't belong to them.

Others have pain and they become extraordinarily sensitive to touch.  Even the weight of bedsheets at bedtime is a torment.  For unknown reason, these problems seem to occur more at night, and cold, wet weather seems to make it worse.

Preventive Measure:

No clear-cut ways of preventing diabetic neuropathy.  Risk can be reduced by good control of diabetes like control of blood sugar level.
